The Loop is a great road through a sub-tropical forest North of Daytona Beach, Florida.
It's a very popular ride with bikers because of the tree canopies and laid-back pace.
I rode The Loop several times during our trip to Biketoberfest. It never gets old.

In my opinion, "The Loop" is one of the best rides in the US. It isn't a long ride, but it is beautiful.
"The Loop" is about 25 miles long and circles around and through the Tomoka State Park in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Along the route, you cross the inter-coastal waterway on a drawbridge, ride along wetlands that are punctuated with palm trees, and ride under a canopy of tree branches.
To truly appreciate the denseness of the canopy, check out the Google Earth track below and notice how often the road disappears from the satellite's view.
I took a bunch of video of "The Loop", and I am planning to produce a video highlighting some of the best parts of the ride.

During our trip to Florida, we stayed with my in-laws in Ormond Beach.
While we were down, we went to one of their GWRRA meetings (Chapter FL1-H) and rode through Main Street together.
