The University of Toledo Astronomy Department held an open event to watch the transit of Venus across the Sun. There was a decent crowd filtering through the area, and the university had set up a couple of telescopes for viewing.
Inside of one of the buildings, they displayed a large image of the transit on a projection screen and explained everything about the transit to the crowd.
It was a fun event, and since it won’t happen again in our lifetimes, I was glad we could go.
