My neighbor across the street had a propane grill that he had converted to charcoal. The grill's stand broke, and he wanted a stand that he could sink in concrete.

Arch cut & I welded angle iron into a heavy duty stand and post.

Of course before we gave it back, we tagged it with our bike logo!

I had the welder out the other day, and Susan asked if I would put a stand together for a tiered herb garden. Since there is never a bad reason to burn metal, I agreed.

I think it turned out pretty well. The next one I make might need 3/8" instead of 1/4" round bar for the main support though.

Back in November, I wrote about my dad's new metal art project. He's making a deer out of sheet steel, plumbing pipe, and steel I beams.

This is the most recent picture of his creation. I can't imagine how much that thing is going to weigh.
